Freedom for Iran

Defiantly a nation lifts its weary head,
A pulse of freedom cursing through its veins,
And in their souls immortalized
The anguish of their dead,
Boldly denying rights
Which the oppressors claim.

A spark, sublime, unites
These people in their plight,
Agaist the theocratic reign,
Beacons of freedom burning bright,
All hell and death proudly defied.
