My Grandpa

A dearest friend
I have been with you until the end,
The stories you told me would make me laugh or cry with ease,
Each story with a lesson, so please,
Continue to live on in my mind,
A person like you is hard to find,
Your kindness is the key,
To become a person that everyone wants to be,
Your heart is a ruby,
So beautiful and rare,
for God to steal it we know is not fair,
But in heaven drifitng on a cloud,
You and your heart remain,
Your voice echo's in our mind as we speak of you aloud.
When death meets you,
A mistake is realized,
You can't be gone,
You will remain in our hearts as you did all along.

Missed Opportunity

What might have been

How sad I feel

My father's secret was to express

His loving zeal.

The fate that's spread

Across my heart.

The missed opportunity

For a final part.

The harshness of death

Its permanent scar

Stills my breath

From afar.

I write theses words

Knowing his secret to healing

A heart that was broken

And still is reeling

I know these words of regret will not change time.

But my heart's broken and my escape is through rhyme.

Only a Theory

The human anatomy
appears to our senses as a
biological manifestation
yet, its components are atoms,
an electromagnetic configuration,
the macrocosm in miniature,
its microcosm a duplication
of stars and galaxies in the universe
the atoms, nuclei, protons, electrons
and large empty spaces in between,
very similar but in reverse,
and all matter composed of strings,
those smallest waves never seen,
opening and closing - pure energy,
perchance, a possible solution
to the MC square mystery
of a world we sense and see,
not composed of matter - only energy
where everything which is - only seems
and our lives are sense perceptions
not of reality but illusions and dreams...

Bored Housewives

Like nectar in flowers entices the bee,
Pierre, our handsome gigolo stud,
attracts bored housewives, including me,
he came to us by recommendation
by satisfied clients stating Pierre
in sexual relations is a veritable sensation
serving wives with additional recreation,
so now, when husbands and kids are away,
we schedule Pierre for a suitable time of day
when only we are home alone to freely play,
besides it's rumored by the ladies
that Pierre makes the most adorable babies
and some of us are not eager to prevent
an occasional happy stance accident,
hopefully, the resulting offspring
does not resemble its source
for our breadwinners may want a divorce.

Double Bind

When parents give
opposing impressions
by changing directions,
constantly alternating
between acceptance
and eloquent praise
to outright rejection,
the child may grow up
in a state of confusion
with a bipolar psychosis
its sad conclusion.

Old Money in the Palms

He has a mind
of average dimensions
but a self-image afflicted
with huge pretensions,
a lack of humility
matched to low ability,
his unstable personality
can at times be a fatality,
but his inherited fortune
is of old money quantity
and known family quality,
a billionaire in the Palms,
they always cater to him
praising his affable charms
his old family gentility,
his personal quality,
outstanding generosity,
talent and ability,
using the old chap fully
for their own utility,
while hoping to inherit
when he reaches senility.

Addiction Clinic Applicant

Chase the cold turkey blues
and get the bread for the next fix,
two C's worth of stuff for the day,
had to rip off some dudes
early in the morning
around Chelsea,
last one gave me static,
had to cool him with my blade,
stuck him good and split
before the pigs came,
brought the loot
to the connection
and got me a quarter of dope,
took it to the shooting gallery
and got me a high,
not as good as it used to be,
there's just never enough...
but man, I'm tired of this hassle,
running, going nowhere,
worried about tomorrow's rip-off,
gimme a chance, man,
put me on today,
I'm beat, so damn beat,
tired of cutting dudes,
tired of the street...
I want to be like them dudes
with the ties - all clean and nice...

Circumcision

Above the entrance door
was an advertising clock
to denote a time piece store,
but when I asked a watch to see,
the owner said politely
he has nothing to sell to me,
his only service is circumcision
which he does with great precision
I asked him about the clock over his door,
he claimed a male organ was there before
but the City wanted to close his store
so he hung this clock over his door,
thinking about it I suggested a sign,
'great improvement of male genital'
which really sounds quite benign,
a much better ad for the store,
besides with the ladies and gents
his business would score.

Jack's Escape from Sobibor

Fifty years have passed
since I saw Sobibor last,
leaving bitter memories
of my horrible past.

I returned on a bright, sunny day
to its wild flowers and green pastures
during the blooming time of May
to walk once more again
this deadly tree-lined street
called Heaven's Way
where 250.000 Jews
saw their last light of day
before exhaust gases from
tank motors ended their stay,
where they also put my dad
to choke his very life away,
I walked past the lush greenery
and the many-hued flowers
enhancing the peaceful scenery,
where Jews in nineteen forty three
revolted violently to gain liberty,
killing eleven SS officers and guards
attempting to flee to distant parts
but their flight ended too soon
when most prisoners were caught
spelling their final doom,
but fifty escaped to tell their story
of murder, mayhem - bloody, gory,
joining the Polish partisans
in reverence for life's glory.

I picked some flowers
where our heroes took flight
and down on Heaven's Way
where my beloved father died,
looked up at the blue sky,
then, silently, I cried and cried...

Mistake

Ah, to be single again
instead of being married
to a gal without a brain
with very good looks
but she never reads books,
not one who ever cooks,
tends to be a bit of a slut,
of lovers she had a glut,
if she still does
I really know not,
I met her on some
one-night stand,
too many drinks
and the situation
got out of hand,
we woke up dazed
the following day
and now she's my wife
and won't go away
unless I give her
a good alimony
she's here to stay,
I just made a mistake,
another quick marriage
I won't ever make.

Jacob's Diary

The years may come,
the years may go
but my old nightmares
stay with me though,
the camp, the odor
of the burning flesh
when ovens were aglow,
my family and friends
killed in the gas chambers
many, many years ago,
those memories
still haunt me so...

Appeasement

Returning from Munich,
Prime Minister Chamberlain,
stepping off the plane,
carrying his umbrella
in case of any rain
proudly stated to the press,
his meeting with Hitler
was a huge success
with the comforting explanation
for guaranteed peace in our time
he gave Hitler only the Czech nation
and the Third Reich and England
now have an excellent relation.

Seventy years have gone by
since this turned out to be a lie
and now a new administration
tries to trade Israel's people and soil
to those new destructive terrorists
for a so-called peace and oil.

It is strange how such treachery
always repeats itself in history.

Glory

When Tommy came
marching home from Iraq,
his job was already taken
so his boss gave him the sack
and with the economy
a growing catastrophe,
he faced the enjoyment
of lengthy unemployment,
no benefits he could find
since the country is in a bind,
and the future he'd seek
looks rather bleak,
though he's a honored hero,
his service is forgotten
and his rewards are zero,
this is the sad story
of fighting for glory.

Last Dream in Auschwitz

Sam closes his eyes
and dreams of his home,
his haven in paradise
living with his family,
two children and wife,
enjoying a secure life
of peace and harmony
in a cottage by the sea,
his profession - a physician,
highly respected,
in a good position,
he dreams of green pastures,
rustling trees and blue skies,
but then - he opens his eyes,
naked people all around,
an eerie hissing sound,
a strange almond smell,
a woman's desperate yell:
"They're killing us here,
this the entrance to hell."

Wall Street Shark

They call me the shark
on Wall Street Bay
who gets the most fish
on many a day - they all say,
as bait I use any old stock
to catch a ripe sucker
and swallow him up,
but lately the fishes all rot,
no one can eat them
and catching fish
on the Bay came to a stop,
so, I've decided to change,
hoping to find my luck
on the Shanghai Exchange.

Agnostic

I must truly confess
to find my religious bless
believing in life's holiness
and my reverence for humanity,
not in those senseless prayers
uttering some religious inanities
or engage in wars' insanities
to please some obscure
and unknown god's vanities
for I know not of heavens above
or any devils in hell below,
no gods I ever knew of or saw,
only the here and now I know,
all this humbug is speculation,
man's imaginary creation,
yet I am an agnostic,
a chap - a bit caustic,
for no one can tell,
if god forbid,
those gods really exist,
I may wind up in hell...

Pierre

Stunningly handsome,
Pierre was the dream
of many a lady
if asked they'd say
'oh yes' not even maybe,
thinking this luscious hunk
could spawn a fabulous baby,
those fine-shaped lips
his dark, romantic eyes,
invited promising sex,
hopefully, marital ties,
but all those ladies
would stay away
were they to know
this chap was gay.
