Death came to him

Death came to him
On a sunny day in spring,
When flowers bloom
And bluebirds sing,
It touched him
Lightly on the arm
And took him
To the dead man's farm.
No one knew
Why he was selected
By his macabre visitor
Who dropped in - unexpected.
