May heaven help and bless
My persecuted Jews
Who with their contributions
More than paid their dues,
A humane, caring people
Who gave the world
The Bible, Jesus, Einstein,
Freud and monotheism,
Now faced with
Genocide, antisemitism
Threatening their life,
But faith does help them
To survive,
Always imbued
With an unflinching
Reverence for life.
