Fallen Soldiers in Iraq

In my dreams
I see them yet,
My comrades in Iraq,
'Those honored dead',
Murdered by
Religious fanatics
To please false gods
With their theatrics,
Sent there to defend
'Liberty and soil'
By politicians seeking
Profits from the oil;
If there be gods
They'd ask why
These innocents
Were sent to die.
