Hold back the dawn
And let us dream
Beneath the jewels
Of the night,
Stars blinking
With the rhythm of the sea,
The world our oyster
- just you and me,
Capture this night
For all eternity,
Forever I'll recall
Its splendid ecstasy,
But deep within me
I do rue the morning gray
When dreams, hopes
And illusions go astray,
Faced with the cold
And cruel realism of the day...
