Israel's Defiance

Defiantly a nation
Lifts its weary head,
The pulse of freedom
Coursing through its veins,
And in their souls immortalized
The anguish of their dead,
Boldly denying rights
Which their aggressors claim.

A spark, divine, unites
These people, in their plight,
Against those savage fanatic hordes,
Beacons of freedom burning bright,
All hell and death proudly defied.
