Good genes and clever manipulation
Have brought me to this exalted station,
My owners now obey my slightest whim,
I eat mostly steaks and chocolates with cream,
I am a dachshund of noble proportions,
Can do all sorts of tricks and fancy contortions,
I'm charming, engaging and very discreet,
But if I don't get my way, I use all my teeth,
My owners respect me and treat me just right
For I put them in fear with my terrible bite,
The quality of my life exeeds all expectations
For my only goals are the good life and recreation,
I never pay taxes and need no employment,
My purpose in life is only enjoyment,
All in all, I really live a king's life,
No aggravation - not even a wife...
