Most of us are actors
On the stage of life,
The curtain rises,
We show a happy face,
A joyful smile
With charm and grace,
The curtain falls,
The smile is gone,
Lost is all joy,
Left in despair,
We're bitter and alone,
It is the outer shell
Hiding an inner hell,
For life is pretense,
A play to show
That all is well...
