Preacher's Dilemma

'Beget, begot and multiply'
Is the holy roller's battle cry,
'But if you commit sins of the flesh,
You'll fall into the devil's mesh'.

What a perverse dichotomy
And contradictory travesty
For in order to beget
You have to commit
Your sins in bed.
