Three Views of Man

Within this fragile shell
Of skin, flesh and bone
There lives a brilliant,
Unique mind
Which one day will
Span the universe,
Perchance,
Dominate it,
If there be gods,
Man is shaped
In their image.

The specie, man,
With his fine intellect
Once dominated
A small planet
Till he destroyed himself
Through wars and pollution.

Men are the maggots,
The cleaning crews
Who eat the remnants
On a dying planet.
