My God...

Towards Mecca turned the Arab,
Praying to his god,
To the sun, the cat, the scarab
The Egyptian gave his nod
While the Hindu found his utility
In reincarnation and humility,
In Jesus, Christians
Found their divinity,
Backed by the holy trinity,
Some Papuans worship the alligator
While I pray to my white kitchen god,
- my port in a storm, my refrigerator,
Daily I open the portals
Of this heavenly creator
To fill all my needs
Sooner or later...
