Return to Israel

Like a phoenix rising
from the Holocaust ashes,
inspired by divine prediction,
the Jewish people returned
to their ancient homeland
and turned the sandy desert
into a green paradise where
modern Western culture thrives
in freedom and democracy,
never, ever to be returned
to its prior savage past.
