How Empires Fall
Media pornography,
early promiscuity,
teenage pregnancies,
home insolvencies,
Welfare dependencies,
dysfunctional families,
fifty percent divorces,
single parent homes,
reduced resources,
production exported,
by outsourcing industry
unemployment supported,
everyone living on credit
with unlimited money printed
to support the country's debit,
causing currency devaluation
ruining the economy
of the struggling nation,
increasing moral turpitude,
growing irresponsibility,
egocentric attitude,
special interests' seduction
through lobby payoffs
causing political corruption,
the middle classes joining
the poor in the proletariat,
while the very wealthy
turn into the power elite,
a class totally apart,
and to prevent a revolution,
the Roman 'bread and circuses'
now Welfare, TV and the Internet
are the modern 2009 solution,
with wars to stimulate the economy,
employing the jobless in the army
instead of in our lost industry,
on all these factors depends
our rapidly growing decadence,
and like Sumerians, Romans and Greeks,
the rise and fall of an empire ends...
