Beauty

Does beauty merit its reward
By having nature mimic art,
Or is it only pleasing to the eye,
And no one can just tell quite why,
Or is it but selective perception,
Depending on individual selection?
It seems to me, as I get older,
Beauty lies in the eye
Of the beholder.....
