Dreaming 'neath the cypress trees,
Fragrant flowers, balmy breeze,
Sparkling lake,
The Swiss at peace,
While in places near and far
Rages turmoil, starvation, war,
Yet, this turbulent outside world
Bursts with inventions and ideas,
While the Swiss?
Make cuckoo clocks and cheese.
