Buddha Smiled

As I twisted and turned
Half insane with the fear
Of life and death,
I don't know which
Frightened me more,
I suddenly calmed down
For in Buddha's smile
I saw that for all of us
Life and death
Are just episodes,
Interludes,
In an endless cycle...
