The Scheme of Things

If there be gods, they'd rip apart
This sorry scheme of life on earth,
When man, created in god's image,
Destroys his own blue planet and himself
With his perverse intelligence
Causing decadence, wars and pollution,
Posing a danger to the delicate balance
Of the micro and macrocosm
Which rules this universe.
