Crucified

Don't curse the darkness
Of superstition
But cast a shining light
On this poor mortal, Jesus,
Who for his Judaism,
Love of mankind and decency
Was by the Romans crucified,
And in his name, millions in wars,
Camps and in the Inquisition died,
Were he to wake to his misguided fame,
He'd weep for all humanity
And hang his head for them in shame.
