Gods?

For safety's sake
I'm an agnostic
Since any religions
Make me caustic,
Of gods
I maybe dreaming,
But this seems only
Superstitious scheming,
For what I cannot hear
Or cannot see
Has no reality for me,
Yet, god forbid,
There is a god,
Sad is my lot,
So, neither atheist
Nor believer I'd be,
As an agnostic,
Gods are beyond
My poor philosophy.
