Beyond our Means

Responsibility for our
financial woes - it seems,
we live way beyond our means
from unnecessary wars,
exploration of the stars,
gas-guzzling monster cars,
homes people can't afford,
living on credit card support,
a good life for today,
then bankruptcy,
and never pay,
swindling banks and brokers,
Ponzi tricks and Wall Street jokers,
outsourcing of our industries
causing unemployment miseries,
building up other nations
while ours falls into devastation,
to badly managed companies
looking for stimulus subsidies,
and thus we spend more
than we can ever make,
an irresponsible mistake.
