God, bless Jerusalem,
Home of our ancestors
Where Solomon's Temple
Stood thousands of years ago,
Where David slew Goliath
And Jesus was crucified
By the Romans who named
Him 'The King of the Jews',
Jerusalem the golden city,
Capital of our land Israel,
This burgeoning, modern
Democracy, where a free
People turned a desert green
And made the flowers bloom.

Protect us, Jehovah,
God of mercy and wrath,
From all savage interlopers
Who want to rob us
Of our land and heritage,
Strike them down
With your lightening blow
To save your people,
As you have done
Throughout eons of time...
