Shrew

She was a low class aspirant
For high class pretensions,
Endowed with a selfish ego
Of huge dimensions,
Neurotic to the core,
But altogether just a bore,
Her manner grand,
Yet, 'neath the surface,
An intellect quite bland,
Her character rather weak,
Though a predator in life
With a mean streak.
Fate would not be fair
For the poor soul
Who'd marry her...
