Beyond Wonder

Beyond the sense of wonder
in this mere mortal coil,
the intellect of man
does through the heavens toil,
beyond the daily grind,
the constant battle to survive,
man strives for comprehension
of this mysterious cosmos and of life.

There'll come a day
when man will know it all,
he'll rise to be the god
of this great universe
with nature at his call...
