Sharks and the Economy

The sharks return
to eat the golden fish
in the US stimulus dish,
granting them every wish,
using Ponzi schemes,
mortgage fraud themes,
derivatives, short sales
and tearful pleading
with sad bankruptcy tales,
or sleazy financial machinations
by grabbing dispossessed homes
in 'buy cheap' crooked operations,
paying for these adventures
with taxes we'll never get
from an economy practically dead,
thus creating galloping inflation
which may ruin our nation
in a reckless experiment
turning the dollar's value
into one red cent.
