Farrakhan and Obama

Farrakhan and Obama
Are quite cozy,
Possessed by the same spirit,
They dance around the rosy,
Farrakhan, the preacher,
Obama's new teacher,
With the 'Nation of Islam'
The main feature.

A Life

Led a long and fruitless life,
Had no children, had no wife,
Had no trade and no profession,
Work was never my obsession,
Lived on streets or in a slum,
Had my whiskey and my rum,
People called me a drunken bum,
But never did I care or worry,
Frankly, about my life
I am not sorry.

Doctors are Human

Doctors have feet of clay,
Some patients are cured,
Others they put away,
Depends on their expertise,
Chance, fee and the day.

Religion

In the name of religion
They fought many a war
In countries near and far,
More people died,
More mothers cried
Because preachers lied.

Technology and Ethics

Technical advances
Offer new chances
But deteriorating genetics
Ruin our ethics.

Advice

Some advice I'd be giving:
'A life without quality
Is not worth living.'

Former Democrat

If a Muslim is selected,
Mc Cain should be elected,
Let us never, ever forget
The Towers, Iraq
And our American dead!

Sex

Sex is a strange occupation,
A hobby to wiggle and turn
Up and down in joyful rotation
To produce some abysmal creation
After reaching some messy climax.
(One day they may do it by fax.)

Yes, men and women
Are bound by desire,
Although their differences
Compare to water and fire,
And once married it is the fashion
To hate each other with a passion...

Days of Wine and Honey

Where are they now,
Those days of wine and honey,
Of willing girls and easy money,
When life was rich, the future sunny,
They're gone - they could not last,
Except to fondly recall
Sweet memories of the past...

Thought control

Birth and Death

The day we're born,
We're destined to die,
If there be gods,
I'd ask them why?

Cruel Gods

What cruel gods
Have shaped this mortal coil
To endure bitter-sweet lives
Burdened by wars, starvation, toil
And then, in futility end it all
As bones and dust buried in soil...

Excursions of the Mind

Within my fragile body lives
The smithy of my soul,
Which ranges far and wide
In rhyme and verse
Throughout the universe,
Integral part of the common
Consciousness of the race,
My mind does all the heavens,
Stars and worlds embrace,
I am but part of the big
Cosmos cell of all creation,
Each man, each mind, each cell
Exists in correlation,
Within the infinite circle
Of time and space we move,
Each man in that big disk
Just one little groove,
Combined, we make the
Glorious music of the spheres,
This universal song of life
Which every being hears,
And in the same circle the record
Turns round and round,
Through all eternity we listen
To its haunting sound,
And all things in the curve
Of time and space
Repeat themselves, always
Returning to the same old place,
All in the universe moves
To the same rhythm and tune
In unison with the earth,
The stars, the sun, the moon,
Today our atoms may form
A man of flesh and bone,
Eons from now they maybe
Part of stardust or of stone,
But as eternal time makes
The circle of events complete,
All which exists or has ever been
Will then again repeat...

Predators Survive

He has no conscience,
He has no hart,
A social misfit,
A man apart,
Fot he's a predator,
In Darwin's world
He'll always score.

Conflict

He said 'yes',
She said 'no',
He said 'stay',
She said 'go',
He said 'guess'
She said 'I know',
This was the source
Of their divorce.

Nature's Way

Have you ever seen
A friendly shark,
Nice and gentle
Like a lark
Singing sweetly
In the park,
No, this predatory fish
Will make you
His favorite dish.

From the distant past
Till today,
This is nature's way:
The fittest predator survives,
While the weak, nice and gentle
Pay with their lives.

For his expectations
Are zero.

Class

She was of the low class variety
But aimed for high society,
So, she married a rich old chap
Who gave her propriety,
And now she is a matron
Of the upper class variety,
Poorly selected,
But highly respected.

America

America, my blessed land,
Saved me from the Holocaust
With a helping hand,
Gave me life and liberty
With a magic wand,
Land of the brave and the free,
You are my haven in a storm,
My paradise on earth to me.

Hungarian Women

Hungarian women
Are full of zest,
They have hot paprika
In their breast,
They really turn you on,
They'll wear you out
And you'll be gone,
But one thing
I do surely know:
What a glorious way to go!

Rich Man

With anger
Is the rich man filled,
For he deserves it all,
Hates to be billed,
His conscience soiled
Because his wealth
Has left him spoiled.

Past, Present and Future

On the edge of tomorrow
Lies yesterday,
Only the present
Gets in the way,
For as soon as its on,
In an eye's blink
The present is gone.

America's Worst President

He led our country
Down the drain,
With wars, inflation
He gave us all a pain,
By outsourcing labor
He let other countries
Employment gain
And on American prestige
He left a stain,
Vetoed entitlements
And left the old and needy
Struggling in vain
While leading us
From recession
To depression,
And thus he set a precedent
As America's worst president.

Complexity

Life is getting too complex
From computers to kinky sex,
The world is getting
Much too small
For technology so tall,
Can't keep up with electronics
And transport supersonics
Or televised commercial tonics,
Gadgets and cars are an obsession
With science in rapid progression
While our social skills
Are in deteriorating regression.

Yes, technology will be in clover
When computers rule us
And machines take over.

Miscalculation

Administrative miscalculation
Is literally ruining our nation
With futile wars
And galloping inflation,
Turning Social Security,
By borrowing its moneys,
Into collective social insecurity,
To be out of funds
When baby boomers reach maturity,
While outsourced workers
Will have the doubtful enjoyment
Of massive unemployment,
With lost production
Resulting in home industries'
Progressive destruction.

Music of the Spheres

After all life on this planet
Has turned to stone and dust
As fate and time predicts
All organic matter must,
The music of the spheres
Will carry the story
Of the human race,
Its intellect, talent and grace,
A miracle in this
Then deserted place,
Throughout the universe
In song and verse...

Glenn Miller's Swing

Glenn Miller's swing
Puts us in the pink,
Brings all rhythm to the brink,
Takes us flying on a wing,
All that music, all that jazz
Puts Glenn in a special class.

Return to Vienna

The last time I saw Vienna,
I idled in some small cafe,
Had some strudel and mocha
And dreamt the day away,
Went out to a Grinzing bar,
Had some wine,
And after the fifth glass,
I felt simply divine,
Met a Viennese gal at my hotel,
Took her waltzing in the park,
And things progressed quite well.

The last time I saw Vienna,
My hometown I left long ago,
It's charms enthralled me once again
With longings which I used to know.

Refugee

I am a wanderer
In a strange land,
As a foreign outcast
From their society
I'm strictly banned,
I do not talk their talk
Or walk their walk,
I am the very essence
Of an alien presence,
I fled my land
For it's on a killing spree,
I came here to find liberty,
What shall I do?
Where can I go?
Will anyone tell me?
I do not know...

Illusion

This is a world which seems
But never really is,
For all of us
Live in illusionary bliss
Where this entire universe
Is a reflection
Of our sensory perception,
The real world is composed
Of mostly empty space
With waving strings of energy
Forever changing place.

Death of a Salesman

A jovial chap
Who traveled far and wide,
Called on customers,
Ran with the tide,
But when he got old,
His new boss cut him cold,
"You're fired", he was told,
And when he died
Only his family came
To the funeral and cried,
His service done,
His body rotten
And soon forgotten...

F.D.R.

There was a man
With class and style,
A politician, well worthwhile,
A statesman with vision,
Circumspect, who always
Made the right decision,
A man beyond
Lobbyists' seduction,
Impervious to corruption,
A man intent on helping
The ageing and the common folk,
Gave them security
Removed their poverty's yoke,
A man with energy and zest,
Our America's very best,
For many years we looked in vain
To find such quality again,
But see our country now awash
With politicians who are trash.

So he took insurance before
And then burned down the store.

No one can use,

We love abuse.

I Never Died...

Don't stand at my grave and cry,
For never did I die,
I'm the seagull arching its wings
High up in the sky,
I'm the wind which blows
Through the heavens - high,
I'm the swift bird on the fly,
I'm the cloud up in the sky,
I'm some stranger passing by,
I'm the sun's last evening glow,
I'm the diamond crystal in the snow,
I'm the love you used to know,
I'm part of the universal scheme,
Everywhere, you'll find me,
Even in your dream...

Country Lane

Walking down a country lane,
Quiet, peaceful and serene
On a sunny early morn,
Nature's beauty I have seen,
Flowers in their fragrant bloom,
Birds singing their wistful tune,
Trees and lush greenery
Compliment the scenery,
With a shady nook to rest,
God, I love the country best!
